HAE emergency

Emergency Therapy in Hereditary Angioedema due to C1-INH-Deficiency

Medicinal treatment:

Berinert® P (human C1-esterase inhibitor concentrate)
20 U / kg body weight intravenous
For adults, children and adolescents.

Cinryze® (human C1-esterase inhibitor concentrate)
1000 U intravenous
For adults and adolescents.

Firazyr® (bradykinin B2 receptor antagonist)
30 mg in a ready-to-use syringe, subcutaneous
For adult use only.

Ruconest® (Conestat alfa)
50 U/ kg body weight intravenous
4200 U for a body weight of more than 84 kg
For adult use only.

A second dose may be required for all drugs listed above.

Attention!

Cortisone, antihistamines and adrenaline are ineffective in the treatment of HAE!
